About the Role
The Foundation for African Empowerment (FAE) is looking for a Marketing, Social Media, and Communications Volunteer to help enhance the organization’s digital presence and engage with stakeholders, partners, and the public.
This volunteer role is ideal for creative, passionate, and tech-savvy individuals who are eager to communicate FAE’s mission and amplify awareness about its programs and initiatives across Tanzania and Zanzibar.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and manage active social media accounts on platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Ensure regular updates and consistent communication across all channels.

- Produce creative posts that showcase the organization’s activities and impact.
- Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar to ensure consistent messaging.
- Respond to comments and messages professionally.

- Work with project staff to identify impactful stories and updates for sharing.
- Prepare monthly reports on social media engagement and communications activities for management.
Requirements
- Proficiency in social media scheduling tools.
- Basic digital photography skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Excellent written English and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Understanding of confidentiality and ethical communication practices.
- Ability to take initiative and contribute creatively to communications strategies.
