KCMC is a major referral hospital serving Northern Tanzania and is known for providing high-quality healthcare services, training, and medical research.
Located at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, the hospital was opened in March 1971 by the Good Samaritan Foundation. Today, it serves more than 15 million people across the northern regions of Tanzania and operates with over 600 beds and more than 1,000 staff members.

1. Nursing Officer II – 10 Positions
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have:
- A Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized college or university
- Registration with the Nurses and Midwifery Council of Tanzania
- A valid practicing license
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide health education to patients and their relatives
- Communicate effectively within the hospital and with external stakeholders
- Ensure prescribed medical instructions are properly implemented
- Set and communicate nursing care standards in line with hospital policies
- Teach nursing students and other healthcare staff
- Conduct home visits and provide primary health care advice
- Apply the Integrated Hospital Management Information System in daily work
- Ensure adherence to inpatient and outpatient treatment manuals
- Supervise other nursing staff
- Verify patient costing and pricing information from the finance department
- Maintain hospital inventory and monitor usage of consumables
- Document patient progress through daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Maintain harmony among staff and students
- Uphold nursing ethics and professional discipline
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisors

2. Assistant Nursing Officer II – 20 Positions
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have:
- A Diploma in Nursing from a recognized college
- Registration with the Nurses and Midwifery Council of Tanzania
- A valid practicing license
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care to patients
- Assist patients and relatives in improving patient well-being
- Maintain a harmonious working environment
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care
- Involve patients and relatives in treatment and rehabilitation processes
- Maintain up-to-date inventory and report any loss or damage
- Keep staff records and manage leave schedules within the unit
- Plan and conduct ward rounds and implement medical instructions
- Maintain records for controlled drugs and check expiration dates
- Assist staff in applying modern nursing care practices and research activities
- Demonstrate compassion, faithfulness, and commitment to patient care
- Update professional knowledge through training and scientific activities
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisors
