Job Description

St John’s University of Tanzania (SJUT) is inviting applications from qualified candidates for two positions of Assistant Lecturer – Health Services Management at its Chief Mazengo Campus in Dodoma. The opportunity is suitable for professionals with academic backgrounds in Health Services Management, Public Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Systems Management, or related fields.

The successful candidates will contribute to teaching, student supervision, research, consultancy, and public service activities. This is a full-time academic position that offers an opportunity to develop a career in higher education while contributing to health management education at SJUT.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Health Services Management courses under the guidance of senior academic staff.

  • Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars.

  • Supervise student projects and fieldwork.

  • Conduct research and publish research findings.

  • Participate in consultancy and public service activities.

  • Perform other academic duties assigned by the reporting officer.

Qualifications Required

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Health Services Management, Public Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Systems Management, or a related field.

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Management, Health Systems Management, or a Business-related subject.

  • Have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.5/5.0.

  • Have a minimum Master’s GPA of 4.0/5.0 or equivalent.
