Vertex International Securities Limited is inviting applications from qualified and analytical graduates for the position of Intern – Research & Analytics in Dar es Salaam. About the Role

The Intern – Research & Analytics will assist the team in analysing data and producing useful insights to support research and investment decisions. The position requires strong analytical thinking and the ability to work with modern data analytics and visualisation tools.

Candidates with practical knowledge of platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, and SQL will have an advantage. Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and other analytics technologies is also considered an added advantage.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Collecting and organising data required for research and analysis.

  

• Analysing and interpreting data to support research activities.

• Providing data-driven insights to support investment decisions.

  

• Conducting research on relevant financial, economic, business, or market topics.

• Supporting the preparation of research reports.

  

• Writing clear and accurate analytical reports.

• Preparing data summaries and analytical findings.

• Creating data visualisations to communicate research findings effectively.

• Presenting analytical findings to the team.

• Supporting the use of digital tools and data analytics platforms in research activities.

• Assisting with other research and analytical assignments as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• A strong academic background in quantitative and analytical subjects is an added advantage.

• Strong data collection and analysis skills.

• Ability to interpret and present data effectively.

• Knowledge of data analytics and digital tools.

• Practical knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, and SQL is an advantage.
