Field Fleet Officer

Selcom Tanzania is inviting applications for the position of Field Fleet Officer in Dar es Salaam. The role involves providing direct field support to merchants, resolving payment-related issues and ensuring that Selcom’s payment devices and services remain operational.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates with a Certificate or Diploma, relevant field experience and a valid Class A driving licence. The successful candidate will regularly interact with merchants, provide training, maintain devices and resolve technical or operational issues to support customer satisfaction and retention.

About the Role

The Field Fleet Officer will work directly with Selcom merchants in the field, providing operational and technical support for payment solutions such as POS and QR services.

The position requires someone who is comfortable travelling within assigned areas, troubleshooting payment issues, maintaining devices and communicating effectively with merchants. The officer will also help retain customers by ensuring their issues are addressed promptly.

Responsibilities

• Visit and support Selcom merchants in assigned areas.

• Provide field assistance to merchants.

  

• Handle POS-related issues.

• Resolve QR payment issues.

  

• Troubleshoot payment-related problems.

• Train merchants on the use of Selcom payment solutions.

  

• Maintain and support payment devices.

• Identify and report device-related problems.

• Resolve merchant operational issues.

• Follow up on reported issues until they are resolved.

• Support merchant retention through reliable field service.

• Maintain good relationships with merchants.

• Provide feedback on recurring field and payment challenges.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should have:

• A Certificate or Diploma.

• 1–2 years of relevant work experience.

• A valid Class A driving licence.

• Motorcycle riding experience.

• Good communication skills.

• Good technology skills.

• Ability to work effectively in the field.
