Phone Repair Technician

Sun King is inviting applications from qualified and experienced technicians for the position of Phone Repair Technician in Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing returned and repossessed mobile phones and restoring them to full working condition while maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and efficiency.

The role involves diagnosing hardware and software faults, replacing defective components, testing repaired devices, recovering reusable components, and supporting phone refurbishment activities. The technician will also manage spare parts and finished-goods inventory while ensuring that repaired devices meet the required functional, cosmetic, and network performance standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting functional tests on damaged devices to identify faults and determine the required repairs.
• Diagnosing technical failures in mobile phones and other electronic devices.
• Disassembling devices and testing defective components.
• Replacing faulty components using appropriate repair procedures.
• Testing and recovering usable components and external housings for future reuse.
• Reassembling mobile phones according to approved work instructions.
• Conducting complete functional, cosmetic, and RF tests on repaired devices.
• Handling both hardware and software-related faults during the repair process.
• Supporting operating system troubleshooting and software-related repairs.
• Identifying opportunities to improve repair and refurbishment processes.
• Implementing appropriate process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
• Managing spare parts and finished-goods inventory.
• Maintaining accurate records of components and repaired devices.

Qualifications Required:

• Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
• At least 2 years of direct experience repairing mobile phones or other electronic devices. This experience is mandatory.
• Practical experience using precision repair tools and electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with software flashing and RF testing is an added advantage.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and commitment to maintaining a strong work ethic.
