Kenya Vehicle Builders (KVB) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Finance & Accounts Officer II. This is a permanent and pensionable opportunity for a qualified finance or accounting professional seeking to build a career within the organization’s Corporate Services/Finance and Accounts function.

The position is an entry and training grade where the successful candidate will work under the guidance of a senior officer. The role involves supporting financial operations, maintaining accounting records, processing payments, handling reconciliations, and assisting with statutory financial obligations.

Responsibilities include:

• Capturing income and expenditure data in the accounting system.
• Maintaining the general ledger.
• Supporting tax accounting and remitting statutory deductions.
• Keeping payments and journal vouchers in safe custody.
• Identifying officers with outstanding balances and determining closing balances at the end of each month.
• Processing payments and other financial disbursements.
• Issuing demand notes and following up on delinquent accounts.
• Preparing payment vouchers.
• Reconciling Pesaflow statements.
• Preparing customer invoices for services rendered.
• Undertaking regular banking activities.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce with a Finance or Accounting option, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics and Finance, Economics and Statistics, Business Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
