Logistics Handling Operations Operator

CEVA Logistics is seeking a Logistics Handling Operations Operator to join its operations team in Dar es Salaam. This role is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end shipment handling process, ensuring that shipping documentation, delivery orders, and payment procedures are completed accurately and on time to support efficient cargo clearance and supply chain operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with shipping lines, transport teams, finance, and internal operational departments to minimize delays, resolve logistics issues, and improve overall service delivery. Responsibilities

• Coordinate the collection of shipping line charges, payment processing, and delivery order applications to ensure timely cargo clearance.

• Prepare and verify all required documentation for delivery order applications, including authorization letters, guarantee forms, and other supporting documents.

  

• Follow up on shipping documentation, including:

  • Bills of Lading

  • Drop-off letters

  • Payment receipts

  • Inward interchange documents

  • Container deposit refunds

  • Payment adjustments

• Coordinate with import, export, transit, and project teams to ensure documentation complies with shipping line requirements before submission.

• Work closely with the transport team to ensure containers are returned within the required timelines.

• Submit payment invoices and receipts to the finance department for timely reconciliation and billing.

• Maintain accurate shipment records and operational documentation.

• Communicate effectively with shipping lines and internal stakeholders to resolve operational challenges.

• Support continuous improvement of logistics processes to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.

Qualifications Required
