Transport and Logistics Expeditor

Elegex Logistics Limited is looking for a dynamic and highly organized Transport and Logistics Expeditor to join its operations team in Dar es Salaam. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in transport operations, fleet coordination, and supply chain management who are passionate about ensuring efficient cargo movement and timely deliveries.

As a Transport and Logistics Expeditor, you will play a key role in monitoring transport operations, coordinating shipping documentation, and working closely with drivers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve operational challenges. The position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to support the company's logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily truck movements, border crossings, and cargo transit status to ensure timely deliveries.

• Coordinate and process essential shipping and transport documentation, including Proof of Delivery (POD), transport orders, load confirmations, and pre-alerts.

  

• Liaise with drivers, subcontractors, terminals, and internal departments to resolve transit delays and facilitate cargo clearance.

• Track shipment progress and delivery milestones throughout the transportation process.

• Prepare routine trucking and operational performance reports.

• Ensure compliance with company standard operating procedures and logistics processes.

• Support efficient fleet coordination and transport planning.

• Manage multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining service quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Proven experience in transport operations, freight forwarding, or cross-border logistics coordination.

• Strong understanding of transport management processes and route planning protocols.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience using logistics and operational software systems.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
