Pick n Pay is currently inviting applications for the position of Shelfpacker based at Wonderpark, Gauteng. The role is full-time and involves maintaining merchandise displays, assisting customers, managing stock, and ensuring that store standards are consistently maintained.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform shelf-packing duties in a physically demanding retail environment.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and workplace safety on the sales floor and in back-up areas.
• Follow all required security procedures.
• Ensure merchandise and product displays meet the required company standards.
• Conduct regular quality checks on products.
• Rotate stock appropriately and remove damaged or expired merchandise.
• Help prevent wastage, shrinkage, and product damage.
• Check that products have the correct pricing and labels.
• Approach customers professionally and assist them with product-related requests.
• Listen to customer needs and provide appropriate products or services.
• Handle customers courteously and maintain a professional, business-like approach.

Qualifications Required:

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Applicants must reside close to the store.
• Two to three years of retail experience will be an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to pass the required assessments at the specified level.
• Successful completion of competency-based interviews.
• Willingness to be flexible and work at different Pick n Pay stores when required.
• Willingness to provide authorization for a full credit and criminal background check.
• Must have a valid South African ID and attach a copy to the application.
