Mwanga Hakika Bank Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Human Resources professional for the position of Assistant Manager - Learning & Development in Dar es Salaam. This full-time opportunity is suitable for candidates with experience in Learning and Development, training, talent management, HR, and employee capability development.
The successful candidate will support the design, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the Bank’s Learning and Development initiatives. The role will focus on ensuring employees develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to achieve business and strategic objectives while promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Support the development and implementation of the annual Learning and Development plan, calendar, and budget.
- Conduct and consolidate Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
- Coordinate appropriate learning interventions based on identified training needs.
- Coordinate training programmes, workshops, coaching, mentoring, e-learning, and other development initiatives.
- Support Graduate Trainee, talent, career, leadership, and employee development programmes.
- Work with business units to identify technical, functional, behavioural, and leadership capability requirements.
- Monitor training participation, completion, effectiveness, and application of learning in the workplace.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure timely updates in the HRIS and Learning Management System.
- Prepare Learning and Development reports, dashboards, and management updates.
- Monitor training activities, costs, and outcomes.
- Support training budget monitoring and training provider management.
- Evaluate training providers and consultants.
- Ensure mandatory and regulatory training requirements are completed within stipulated timelines.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning across the Bank.
- Support innovative and digital learning solutions.
- Support compliance and audit requirements related to Learning and Development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of L&D processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Learning and Development, Education, Training, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- A Master’s Degree and/or professional qualification in HR, Learning and Development, Training, or a related field is an added advantage.
- Three to four years of relevant experience in Learning and Development, Training, HR, Talent Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in training coordination, Training Needs Analysis, learning programme design, and training evaluation.
- Experience working with training providers and consultants.
- Banking experience or experience working in a highly regulated environment is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Learning and Development and adult learning principles.
- Knowledge of Training Needs Analysis and competency development.
- Strong planning, coordination, and project management skills.
- Good HR analytics, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using HRIS and Learning Management Systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong coaching and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical and innovative approach to work.
- Results-oriented and highly organized.
- High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
