The President’s Office, Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) has officially announced 5 vacancies for the position of Senior Human Resources Officer, inviting qualified and capable Tanzanian public servants to submit their applications. Responsibilities

Successful applicants will be required to:

  • Monitor compliance with labour laws, public service regulations, and standing orders.
  • Maintain employee records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Participate in preparing, implementing, and monitoring the annual zonal budget.
  • Coordinate meetings and perform employee management duties.
  • Handle disciplinary matters in line with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in assessing and planning human resource requirements.
  • Analyze training needs and prepare the Human Resources Development and Training Plan.
  • Draft memoranda, instructions, announcements, and other HR documents.
  • Supervise the implementation of the Performance Evaluation and Management System (PEPMIS).
  • Perform other official duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications Required

Applicants must possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Planning and Management, or another related field from a recognized institution.

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Human Resource Management.

  • A pass in the Human Resource Officer’s Proficiency Examination (PHR).

  • Public servant status with at least 3 years of service under the current employer.

  • Willingness to meet their own transfer expenses if appointed.

  • Must not be over 45 years of age.
