Project Coordinator at Tanzania Integrated Engineering Solution Company Ltd

Tanzania Integrated Engineering Solution Company Ltd (TIES) is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of technical projects in Dar es Salaam. The position involves coordinating project activities, monitoring schedules, maintaining documentation, and preparing reports across engineering and technical disciplines.

The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and management to ensure projects remain on schedule and within approved requirements. The role is particularly suited to candidates with experience in project coordination, mining, mineral processing, engineering, construction, or other technical project environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing project work plans, schedules, and implementation programmes.

  

• Coordinate activities among technical teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

• Follow up on pending tasks to support timely completion of project activities.

  

• Coordinate project meetings, site visits, inspections, and mobilization activities.

• Collect and consolidate project updates from relevant teams.

  

• Prepare project progress reports for management and clients.

• Maintain project trackers, document registers, action lists, issue logs, and risk logs.

  

• Organize and maintain technical reports, drawings, correspondence, meeting minutes, and approvals.

• Identify project delays, resource constraints, and other issues requiring management attention.

• Act as a link between TIES project teams and clients.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams covering Mining, Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, Geology, Environmental, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines.

• Monitor project deliverables to ensure they remain on schedule.

• Prepare project correspondence and meeting minutes.

• Follow up on client approvals and submissions.

• Support procurement, project mobilization, and logistics activities.

• Assist in tracking project costs against approved budgets.

• Identify and report budget deviations to management.

• Follow up on payments, submissions, and approvals.

• Support project documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

• Assist management in monitoring project implementation and resolving outstanding issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Planning and Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Mining Engineering, Mineral Processing Engineering, Metallurgy, or a closely related discipline.

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in project coordination, mining, mineral processing, engineering, construction, or similar technical projects.

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams.

• Good understanding of project planning and scheduling.

• Strong project monitoring and reporting skills.

• Strong coordination and follow-up abilities.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Good proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar project management software.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, suppliers, consultants, and technical teams.

• Strong attention to detail and project documentation skills.
