Project Manager – Building ICT Systems

Sihotech Engineering Company Limited is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Building ICT Systems to join its team in Dar es Salaam. This full-time position is ideal for highly skilled ICT engineering professionals with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing ICT infrastructure for commercial and high-rise building projects.

The successful candidate will lead the planning, design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and final handover of integrated building ICT systems. The role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams while ensuring projects meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and handover of building ICT systems.

• Manage the installation and integration of structured cabling systems.

  

• Oversee enterprise networking infrastructure.

• Manage CCTV system installation and integration.

• Supervise access control system implementation.

• Oversee Voice over IP (VoIP) system deployment.

• Manage data centre infrastructure implementation.

• Coordinate Building Management Systems (BMS) integration.

• Oversee the implementation of other related ICT infrastructure.

• Coordinate ICT works with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.

• Supervise ICT installations and ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Provide technical leadership to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely project completion.

• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, documentation, stakeholder communication, and final system handover.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university.

• Registration as a Professional Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB).

• Valid ERB Practising Licence.

• Minimum of ten (10) years of post-qualification experience in ICT system design, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning for commercial and multi-storey building projects.

• Tanzanian National.

• Proven expertise in designing and integrating enterprise ICT systems for commercial and high-rise buildings.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

• Sound knowledge of:

  • Enterprise networking.

  • Cybersecurity principles.

  • Voice over IP (VoIP) systems.

  • CCTV solutions.

  • Access control systems.

• Strong understanding of ICT standards, system testing, commissioning processes, and regulatory compliance.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder communication skills.
