Project Manager – Electrical Building Services

Sihotech Engineering Company Limited is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager – Electrical Building Services to join its team in Dar es Salaam. This full-time opportunity is ideal for seasoned electrical engineering professionals with extensive experience managing complex commercial and high-rise building projects from design through commissioning and handover.

The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical building services projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, project management capabilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and compliant electrical systems while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical building services.

• Manage Low Voltage (LV) power distribution systems.

  

• Oversee lighting system installation and implementation.

• Manage standby power systems.

• Supervise Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems.

• Oversee fire alarm system installation and commissioning.

• Manage Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems.

• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, structural, mechanical, and fire protection teams.

• Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and safety regulations.

• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, quality assurance, and project documentation.

• Provide technical leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project delivery.

• Review and approve electrical designs.

• Review and approve technical submissions.

• Review and approve testing, commissioning, and completion reports.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.

• Registration as a Professional Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB).

• Valid ERB Practising Licence.

• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical building services for commercial or high-rise buildings.

• Tanzanian National.

• Strong expertise in electrical building services, including:

  • Low Voltage (LV) power systems.

  • Lighting systems.

  • Standby power systems.

  • Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.

• Sound knowledge of IEC Standards, British Standards (BS), and applicable building codes and regulations.

• Good understanding of testing and commissioning processes, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
