Solutions Architect: Data Center Solutions at Vodacom Tanzania Plc

Vodacom Tanzania Plc is seeking a qualified Solutions Architect: Data Center Solutions to support the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud and data centre infrastructure solutions. The role involves working with customers and internal teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.

The successful candidate will also support presales engagements, technical consulting, solution implementation, customer onboarding, user acceptance testing, and service activation. This position offers an opportunity for an experienced technology professional to contribute to customer experience, infrastructure growth, and innovative hosting and cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the capture and analysis of customer requirements and translate them into suitable technical solutions.

  

• Ensure a ready environment for customers to host their equipment and solutions.

• Lead the installation of customer equipment and implementation of customer solutions.

  

• Provide seamless onboarding and technical support during solution deployment.

• Ensure User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is completed successfully.

  

• Coordinate appropriate training for customer teams and Vodacom sales teams on new features and solutions.

• Identify innovative hosting and cloud solutions that support continued business growth.

  

• Work with relevant stakeholders to scope and develop new data centre and cloud opportunities.

• Support improvements to customer experience and colocation revenue.

• Contribute to strategic planning, project management, reporting, sales, and product development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecom Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.

• Experience in strategic planning, project management, reporting, sales, or product development.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills.

• Strong stakeholder management capabilities.

• Good analytical skills.

• Ability to work effectively across different functions and teams.
