Branch Manager at Amana Bank Limited

Amana Bank Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Branch Manager to join its team in Arusha. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced banking professional with strong branch management, business development, customer relationship, and team leadership skills.

The Branch Manager will be responsible for driving branch growth and profitability while ensuring effective operations, regulatory compliance, and quality customer service. The successful candidate will oversee deposits and financing, manage branch resources, maintain KYC and AML compliance, and lead the branch team toward achieving its business targets.

Responsibilities

The Branch Manager will be responsible for:

  • Growing the branch customer base, deposits, financing portfolio, and overall profitability in line with established targets.

  • Maintaining the branch liquidity position through effective advance planning and cost management.

  • Monitoring and controlling branch operational costs.

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable banking regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Maintaining strict adherence to KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) requirements.

  • Maintaining a low-risk profile and strong audit rating for the branch.

  • Coaching, motivating, and leading branch employees to achieve business objectives.

  • Promoting exceptional customer service and strong customer relationships.

  • Maximizing the effective use of branch resources.

  • Serving as Chairperson of the Branch Management Financing Committee.

  • Supporting the overall strategic and operational performance of the branch.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of banking experience.

  • Extensive experience in branch management.

  • Strong knowledge of branch banking operations.

  • Good understanding of Sharia-compliant banking products and services.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong relationship management abilities.

  • Proven ability to mentor, motivate, and lead a team.

  • Strong resource-management skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Strong strategic planning skills.

  • Exceptional customer service orientation.

  • Good time-management skills.
