Hub Team Lead at Yas Tanzania

Yas Tanzania is seeking an experienced Hub Team Lead to oversee 24/7 operations across multiple shifts in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will lead a team of operators, maintain operational readiness, manage major incidents, monitor key performance indicators, and ensure compliance with established IT operations and governance processes.

This is a senior technology operations position suited to professionals with extensive experience in NOC, IT operations, telecommunications, or fintech environments. The role requires strong incident-management expertise, technical monitoring skills, and the ability to lead teams in a high-pressure, continuously operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and govern 24/7 operations across Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie shifts.

  

• Ensure compliance with shift-management and handover procedures.

• Manage accurate shift handovers, staff rosters, leave coverage, and operational readiness.

  

• Act as the primary escalation point for major incidents.

• Own P1 incident management, resolution coordination, and stakeholder escalation.

  

• Enforce incident-response protocols.

• Coordinate cross-hub support during high-severity or concurrent incidents.

  

• Oversee operational KPI reporting, including Platform Availability, Transaction Success Rate, MTTD, TTR, MTTR, and Detection Quality Ratio.

• Monitor incident trends and on-call activation metrics.

• Escalate operational capacity concerns when necessary.

• Manage GSOC monitoring tools and platform configurations.

• Ensure adherence to operational processes and governance standards.

• Drive cross-hub operational alignment and process compliance.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.

• Escalate process deviations, operational risks, and unresolved issues to GSOC leadership within agreed timelines.

• Manage the performance of Senior Operators and NOC Operators.

• Maintain high operational standards across the team.

• Govern onboarding, training, and shift-readiness of new operators.

• Support career development and succession planning.

• Maintain progression pathways from NOC Operator to Senior Operator and Hub Team Lead.

Qualifications Required

• Master’s degree or engineering qualification in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Systems, or a related field.

• 8–12 years of experience in NOC, IT Operations, Telecommunications, or Fintech.

• Proven leadership experience in incident management, operations, and KPI governance.

• Strong knowledge of ITIL incident, problem, and change management.

• Proficiency in ServiceNow ticketing, workflows, and reporting.

• Experience with Grafana and Prometheus monitoring and alerting.

• Skills in Kibana log analysis and troubleshooting.

• Understanding of mobile money, USSD, and transaction flows.

• Familiarity with network and application monitoring.

• Experience preparing KPI reports and managing performance dashboards.
