Plant Operators – 5 Positions at TOL Gases PLC

TOL Gases PLC is seeking to recruit five Plant Operators to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of its production plants in Dar es Salaam. This full-time opportunity is suitable for technically trained candidates with practical manufacturing experience and an interest in plant operations and industrial production.

The Plant Operators will be responsible for operating production equipment, monitoring plant performance, conducting quality checks, recording operational data, and responding to operational issues. Successful candidates will also be expected to follow strict safety, hygiene, quality, and manufacturing standards while supporting routine plant maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Operate the production plant according to established working instructions.

  

• Monitor and optimise plant performance.

• Support efforts to minimise operational costs.

  

• Conduct hourly purity and quality control checks.

• Accurately record plant operating parameters and quality results.

  

• Report operational deviations, equipment problems, and other issues promptly to supervisors.

• Comply with ISO 22000 requirements and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

  

• Follow company hygiene requirements and established plant procedures.

• Adhere to all plant safety procedures and OSHA standards.

• Coordinate operational activities with other departments.

• Perform scheduled plant maintenance as directed.

• Carry out other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications Required

• Diploma in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Chemical and Processing Engineering.

• Minimum of 1 year of practical experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Membership with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) is an added advantage.
