Data Center Engineer at Globotech Company Limited

Globotech Company Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Data Center Engineer in Dar es Salaam. The role is suitable for engineering professionals with experience in data centres, telecommunications infrastructure, industrial environments, or other mission-critical facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining system reliability, resolving infrastructure faults, and optimizing mission-critical systems across multiple sites. The position requires strong technical expertise in power systems, cooling infrastructure, redundancy, incident response, and coordination with NOC and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot UPS systems, Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) systems, Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems, and generators.

• Analyze electrical load and fault conditions.

  

• Ensure compliance with N+1 and 2N redundancy requirements.

• Manage CRAC/CRAH systems.

  

• Manage DX cooling systems and HVAC systems.

• Optimize airflow and thermal performance.

  

• Lead incident response activities.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) following major incidents.

  

• Coordinate with NOC teams and site teams.

• Support improvements in infrastructure reliability.

• Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Manage multiple technical incidents and prioritize responses appropriately.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

• 3–7 years of experience in data centres, telecommunications infrastructure, industrial environments, or other mission-critical environments.

• Experience using infrastructure monitoring tools such as Zabbix and AIVA.

• Strong understanding of high-availability systems.

• Knowledge of critical power and cooling infrastructure.

• Strong troubleshooting and fault-analysis skills.

• Leadership and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple incidents simultaneously.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with NOC and site teams.

• Strong focus on system reliability and SLA compliance.
