NOC Engineer at Globotech Company Limited

Globotech Company Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the position of NOC Engineer in Dar es Salaam. The role is suitable for candidates with a background in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering and practical experience working in Network Operations Centre (NOC) environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for continuous monitoring and control of infrastructure across multiple facilities. The position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, effective incident management, and the ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment while ensuring service levels and escalation procedures are consistently maintained.

Responsibilities

• Monitor infrastructure using Zabbix and AIVA.

• Analyze alarms and escalate incidents appropriately.

  

• Coordinate incident responses with site teams.

• Maintain accurate operational logs.

  

• Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Monitor infrastructure performance and identify potential issues.

  

• Manage multiple alarms and incidents simultaneously.

• Maintain ownership of incidents until closure.

  

• Communicate effectively with site technicians and engineers.

• Follow established incident response and escalation procedures.

Qualifications Required

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering.

• 2–5 years of experience in NOC environments.

• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring systems.

• Knowledge of SNMP and TCP/IP.

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals.

• Knowledge of incident management.

• Understanding of redundancy concepts, including N+1 and 2N.

• Familiarity with data centre infrastructure.

• Knowledge of UPS systems, generators, cooling systems, BMS systems, and LV panels.

• Understanding of alarm classification and escalation workflows.

• Ability to conduct trend analysis and early-warning detection.

• Experience using reporting tools, including Microsoft Excel and dashboards.

• Experience working in 24/7 shift operations.

• Ability to manage multiple alarms simultaneously.

• Ability to comply strictly with response and escalation SLAs.

• High attention to detail.

• Ability to maintain accurate incident logs.

• Effective communication skills when working with site technicians and engineers.

• Strong ownership and ability to manage incidents through to closure.
