BDO East Africa is seeking a qualified IT professional for the position of IT Audit Senior in Dar es Salaam. Candidates with knowledge of IT General Controls, application controls, information security, and IT governance frameworks will be well suited to the position.
About the Role
The IT Audit Senior will support the assessment of technology systems, controls, and processes to identify risks and recommend practical improvements. The position also involves supporting business applications, system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and daily user support.
The successful candidate will work with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve technology issues and ensure compliance with established requirements and Service Level Agreements. The role also requires strong analytical and report-writing skills because audit findings and recommendations must be clearly documented.
Responsibilities

Implement, maintain, and support business applications and IT systems according to business requirements.

Manage software implementation projects, system upgrades, integrations, and deployments.

Provide daily user support for business applications.

Troubleshoot application-related technical issues.

Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely resolution of IT issues.

Monitor vendor performance against Service Level Agreements.

Develop and update IT policies and procedures.

Enforce information security controls and IT policies.

Conduct IT audits to evaluate technology controls.

Identify technology and information security risks.

Assess compliance with IT governance and control requirements.

Recommend practical improvements to address identified technology risks.

Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

1–3 years of experience in IT Audit, IT Risk Management, IT Administration, or a similar technology role.

Knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGCs).

Knowledge of application controls.
