Hodari Christian School is inviting applications from qualified and experienced educators for the position of Math Teacher (Upper Primary & Lower Secondary) in Dar es Salaam. The school is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who can effectively deliver Mathematics lessons while creating a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment for students.

The position is suitable for an educator with strong Mathematics teaching experience and knowledge of the Cambridge Curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for lesson planning, classroom instruction, student assessment and preparation of learning resources while supporting students’ academic development.

About the Role

The Math Teacher will teach Mathematics to upper primary and lower secondary learners using the Cambridge Curriculum. The teacher will also monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback and develop appropriate learning materials to support effective classroom instruction.

The role requires an energetic, patient and creative educator with strong classroom management, communication and ICT skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons for upper primary and lower secondary learners.

• Use the Cambridge Curriculum when preparing and delivering lessons.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of five years of teaching experience.

• A degree or diploma in Education or a related field.

• Competence in teaching using the Cambridge Curriculum.

• Strong classroom management skills.

• Strong communication skills.

• Fluency in spoken English.

• Fluency in written English.

• Strong ICT skills.

• Experience using design tools such as Canva.
