Mwanga Hakika Bank is seeking an Assistant Treasury Sales Manager to support the Bank’s Treasury Sales function in Dar es Salaam. The role focuses on building and managing relationships with treasury customers, generating foreign exchange (FX) business, identifying new revenue opportunities, and providing customers with appropriate treasury products and market solutions.
This is a specialized banking position that combines Treasury, foreign exchange sales, customer relationship management, and business development. The successful candidate will work closely with Commercial, Corporate, and Consumer Banking teams to expand the Bank’s treasury customer base while contributing to FX revenue and overall Treasury performance.
Responsibilities

Implement Treasury Sales processes under the guidance of the Line Manager.

Identify new revenue opportunities by exploring new customer segments and markets.

Work with Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, and Consumer Banking teams to increase cross-selling opportunities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.

Conduct proactive sales calls with existing and prospective FX clients.

Provide competitive FX rate quotations to customers.

Provide customers with relevant market insights and timely treasury solutions.

Recommend value-added treasury products based on customer requirements.

Coordinate Treasury Sales activities.

Maintain a diversified and high-quality sales pipeline.

Support the achievement of FX sales and Treasury revenue targets.

Implement customer-acquisition strategies to expand the Bank’s customer base.

Monitor service quality and recommend improvements that can increase customer satisfaction and profitability.

Develop sales action plans together with Line Managers.

Identify marketing opportunities that can support Treasury product growth.

Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance or another relevant field.

Minimum 4 years of experience in Treasury Dealing.

What This Role Involves
The core objective of this position is to grow Treasury revenue through customer relationships and FX business. The successful candidate will identify customers who require foreign exchange and other Treasury services, understand their requirements, provide appropriate rates and solutions, and maintain those relationships over time.
The position therefore requires more than general banking knowledge. Candidates need practical exposure to Treasury Dealing and financial markets, together with strong sales and relationship-management capabilities.
