Trainee Mechanical Harvester Job at TPC Ltd

TPC Ltd is seeking candidates for the position of Trainee Mechanical Harvester in Kilimanjaro. The role provides an opportunity to learn how to operate and maintain mechanical sugarcane harvesting machinery while working under the supervision of experienced personnel.

The successful trainee will support field harvesting operations by carrying out daily equipment checks, assisting with routine servicing and cleaning, and following established field procedures. The position is suitable for Form Four graduates who have an interest in agricultural machinery and are willing to learn and work in field-based operations.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate mechanical sugarcane harvesters under supervision.

• Follow instructions from experienced harvester operators and supervisors.

  

• Conduct daily pre-start checks on harvesting machinery.

• Inspect the harvester before operations begin.

• Identify equipment defects and report them promptly to the supervisor.

• Assist with routine servicing of agricultural machinery.

• Assist with cleaning and basic maintenance of harvesters.

• Support field harvesting activities according to established procedures.

• Operate machinery with a focus on meeting required harvesting quality standards.
