TPC Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Welder to join its operations in Kilimanjaro. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out welding, fabrication, and metal finishing work in the workshop and on site, ensuring that fabricated components meet required technical specifications and quality standards.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates with VETA CBET Level III or Grade I training in Welding and at least three years of relevant practical experience. Applicants should have strong skills in MIG and TIG welding, fabrication, metal finishing, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and TIG welding activities in the workshop and on site.

• Carry out fabrication of metal components according to specifications.

  

• Perform metal finishing activities to achieve the required quality and appearance.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Interpret welding symbols and technical specifications.

• Fabricate components according to approved drawings and specifications.

• Inspect completed welds for defects and quality issues.

• Identify welding defects and carry out necessary corrective work.

• Ensure welding work meets required technical and quality standards.

• Maintain welding machines, tools, and related equipment.

• Report faulty or damaged welding equipment to the supervisor.

• Keep the welding work area clean and organized.

• Follow hot work permit requirements.

• Comply with workshop health and safety procedures.

• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during welding activities.

• Work safely when carrying out welding and fabrication tasks on site.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ordinary Level Secondary Education.

• VETA CBET Level III or Grade I qualification in Welding.

• At least 3 years of relevant welding experience.

• Practical experience in MIG welding.

• Practical experience in TIG welding.

• Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques.

• Knowledge of metal finishing.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Ability to understand welding symbols.

• Ability to fabricate components according to technical specifications.

• Ability to inspect welds and identify defects.

• Knowledge of welding equipment maintenance.
