Specialist – Cloud Infrastructure Job at Exim Bank Tanzania

Exim Bank (Tanzania) Limited is looking for a Specialist – Cloud Infrastructure to provide hands-on technical administration, support, monitoring, and optimization of its cloud and enterprise IT infrastructure. The position focuses heavily on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, hybrid cloud environments, enterprise Microsoft technologies, virtualization, storage, backup, and infrastructure security.

The successful candidate will also support cloud migration, automation, infrastructure modernization, disaster recovery, and Level 2 and Level 3 technical support. This is a highly technical infrastructure role suited to an IT professional with strong enterprise Microsoft administration experience and practical knowledge of cloud, virtualization, DevOps, security, and automation technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.

  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments.

  • Manage and support hybrid cloud environments.

  • Administer Exchange Online and on-premises Exchange services.

  • Manage Windows Server infrastructure.

  • Administer Active Directory (AD).

  • Manage Microsoft Entra ID and identity services.

  • Manage DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and SCCM.

  • Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using PowerShell.

  • Use Azure CLI for cloud administration and automation.

  • Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives.

  • Manage virtualization platforms and enterprise server infrastructure.

  • Manage enterprise storage systems.

  • Administer backup and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and security.

  • Implement patch management and vulnerability remediation.

  • Apply appropriate access-management and infrastructure-security controls.

  • Support cloud migration projects.

  • Support infrastructure upgrades and technology-refresh projects.

  • Contribute to automation initiatives.

  • Conduct system assessments, patches, firmware updates, upgrades, and security fixes.

  • Ensure cloud and on-premises incidents are resolved within agreed SLAs.

  • Manage IT infrastructure licenses, subscriptions, and renewals.

  • Support backup and recovery activities to maintain business continuity.

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 incident and problem-management support.

  • Troubleshoot infrastructure-related technical issues.

  • Support continuous improvement of cloud and enterprise infrastructure operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience administering enterprise Microsoft infrastructure.

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Active Directory/Entra ID.

  • Experience administering Microsoft 365.

  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange Online and Exchange.

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.

  • Experience with virtualization platforms.

  • Experience with enterprise storage solutions.

  • Experience working with hybrid cloud environments.

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications in Azure, Microsoft 365, or Windows Server are advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • Knowledge of Red Hat technologies, including Red Hat Satellite and OpenShift.

  • Red Hat certifications are an added advantage.

  • Knowledge of DevOps and automation tools such as GitHub, Terraform, and Red Hat Ansible.

  • Experience with VMware virtualization.

  • Knowledge of Oracle Linux KVM virtualization.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V.

  • Experience with enterprise server provisioning, configuration, management, and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of SAN storage technologies, including NetApp storage systems.

  • Strong understanding of networking and enterprise cloud infrastructure operations.

  • Strong troubleshooting and customer-service skills.

  • Ability to explain technical information clearly to technical and non-technical users.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage confidential information.

  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships.

  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments.
