Tutorial Assistant (Computer Science) – 3 Positions Jobs at University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM)

The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is inviting applications for three Tutorial Assistant positions in Computer Science. The opportunities are suitable for qualified graduates with academic backgrounds in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, ICT, business IT, computer systems and networks, or information systems management.

The successful candidates will support academic activities by working alongside senior academic staff, conducting tutorials and practical sessions, and participating in research, consultancy, and public service activities. The position also provides an opportunity to undertake postgraduate training leading to a Master’s degree. The positions are based at the UDSM Kagera Campus.

Responsibilities

• Attend lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practicals conducted by senior academic staff.

• Conduct seminars, tutorials, and practical sessions.

  

• Assist in research, consultancy, and public service activities.

• Undertake postgraduate training for a Master’s degree.

• Perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and IT.

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.

• Bachelor of Science in Business IT.

• Bachelor of Science in ICT.

• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems and Networks.

• Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management.

• Minimum GPA of 3.8 from a university recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).

• Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged 45 years or below.

• Must possess a National Identification Number (NIN) issued by NIDA.

• Degrees obtained from foreign universities must be verified by TCU, with the GPA recalculated to a 5.0 scale.

• O-Level and A-Level certificates obtained from foreign examination bodies must be verified by NECTA.
