The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is inviting applications for the position of Tutorial Assistant (Artificial Intelligence in Limnology) in Dar es Salaam. This academic opportunity is suitable for graduates with a background in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, ICT, or related fields who are interested in applying computing and artificial intelligence to aquatic and environmental studies.
The successful candidate will work alongside senior academic staff, participate in lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practical sessions, and contribute to research, consultancy, and public service activities. The position also provides an opportunity to undertake postgraduate training leading to a Master’s degree.
Responsibilities

Attend lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practical sessions conducted by senior academic staff.

Conduct seminars, tutorials, and practicals.

Assist in research, consultancy, and public service activities.

Undertake postgraduate training for a Master’s degree.

Perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and IT.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.

Bachelor of Science in ICT.

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems and Networks.

Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management.

Minimum GPA of 3.8 from a university recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).

Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged 45 years or below.

Must possess a National Identification Number (NIN) issued by NIDA.

Applicants holding degrees from foreign universities must have their qualifications verified by TCU, with the GPA recalculated to a 5.0 scale.
