Tutorial Assistant (Hydrology) at University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM)

The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is inviting applications for one Tutorial Assistant position in Hydrology. The opportunity is suitable for graduates in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, or Water Engineering who have achieved strong academic results and are interested in pursuing an academic career.

The successful candidate will support senior academic staff in teaching, tutorials, practical sessions, research, consultancy, and public service activities. The position also provides an opportunity to undertake postgraduate training leading to a Master’s degree.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understudy senior members of academic staff by attending lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practical sessions.

• Conduct seminars, tutorials, and practical sessions.

  

• Assist in research, consultancy, and public service activities.

• Undertake postgraduate training for a Master’s degree.

• Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering.

• Bachelor of Science in Hydrology.

• Bachelor of Science in Water Engineering.

Additional requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree GPA of 3.8.

• Degree must be obtained from a local or internationally reputable university recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities.
