Tutorial Assistant (Gender Studies) – 2 Positions at University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM)
The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is inviting applications from qualified graduates for two positions of Tutorial Assistant in Gender Studies. This opportunity is suitable for graduates with academic backgrounds in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Psychology, Education, Counselling, or related disciplines who are interested in pursuing an academic career.
Successful candidates will work under the guidance of senior academic staff and gain experience in university teaching, research, consultancy, and public service activities. The position also provides an opportunity to undertake postgraduate training leading to a Master’s degree while developing professional experience in an academic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for:

Understudying senior academic staff by attending lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practical sessions.

Conducting seminars, tutorials, and practical sessions.

Assisting in research, consultancy, and public service activities.

Undertaking postgraduate training for a Master’s degree.

Performing any other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:

Bachelor of Gender Studies; or
-
Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies; or
-
Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies and Community Development; or
-
Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies; or
-
Bachelor of Education in Psychology; or
-
Bachelor of Education in Adult and Community Development; or
-
Bachelor of Counselling Psychology; or
-
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

A minimum Bachelor’s Degree GPA of 3.8.

The degree must be obtained from a local or internationally reputable university recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).

Successful candidates will be employed under:
