Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Performing advanced mechanical and electronic diagnostics on diesel engines and associated systems.

• Carrying out major and minor diesel engine repairs.

• Performing engine overhauls, rebuilds, and complete reconstruction activities.

• Repairing and maintaining fuel injection systems, fuel pumps, injectors, and engine components.

• Implementing preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

• Properly using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during all maintenance activities.

Qualifications Required

Applicants should possess:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Diesel Technology, or a related technical field.

• Additional certifications in diesel engine systems, automatic transmissions, hydraulics, or heavy equipment maintenance are an added advantage.

• Minimum of five years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel equipment, port equipment, construction equipment, mining equipment, or industrial machinery.

• Proven experience in engine overhauls, transmission repairs, hydraulic systems, and equipment diagnostics.

• Experience working with RTG cranes, port tractors, reach stackers, forklifts, and terminal equipment is highly desirable.

• Advanced knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and repair.

• Strong expertise in automatic transmission troubleshooting and rebuilding.

• Experience maintaining hydraulic systems and electronic engine management systems.

• Knowledge of fuel injection diagnostics and repairs.
