Field Facilitators – 3 positions Siha, Kilimanjaro at IITA February 2026
Description
- · Assist in project coordination between farmers, extension and BioSSA researchers with the assigned cluster.
- · Assist with layout, planting and management of the trails
- · Collect plant and soil data from established trials.
- · Keep proper records of demonstration plots and the recorded data.
- · Submit weekly report on the demonstration trials to BioSSA scientists.
- · Arrange field visits to the demonstration trials as directed by BioSSA project Coordinator
- · Train farmers in proper handling and application of effective bio-input products.
- · Any other duties that may be assigned by project management.
Requirements
The candidate should have a Diploma in Agriculture with specialization on crops research and management.
Core Competencies
- · Relevant work experience in agricultural research of at least 3 years.
- · Good understanding of the maize and beans cropping system in Tanzania.
- · Ability to work with and maintain a good relationship with famers.
- · A good Knowledge of farming systems in Siha District
- · Be a good team player and highly self-motivated.
