The Digital Content & Sales Executive will be responsible for creating compelling, trend-driven digital content while actively supporting digital selling and customer engagement across social media platforms. The role blends content creation, community engagement, and sales support to increase brand visibility, customer inquiries, and conversion into sales.
This position is ideal for a creative individual with strong storytelling skills, a passion for social media, and the ability to translate products and promotions into engaging digital content.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Creation
- Create, film, and edit short-form video content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and other digital channels.
- Translate product updates, promotions, and service offerings into simple, engaging, and customer-friendly content.
- Stay up to date with social media trends, formats, sounds, and challenges, and adapt them to brand strategies.
- Develop and manage a content calendar aligned with campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
- Optimize content for each platform to maximize reach, engagement, and visibility.
- Track and analyze content performance using analytics tools and prepare performance insights.
Social Media Growth & Community Engagement
- Grow followers, reach, and engagement organically across all platforms.
- Respond to comments, messages, and customer inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Turn frequently asked questions and customer feedback into content ideas.
- Build and maintain a strong, positive online community and brand presence.
Digital Selling & Lead Conversion
- Promote products and offers using soft-selling, storytelling, and educational content approaches.
- Guide customers from content awareness to inquiry and purchase, either online or in-store.
- Generate and qualify sales leads through social media platforms.
- Support retail and sales teams by addressing basic customer objections and product-related questions.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor key performance metrics such as views, engagement, follower growth, and inquiries.
- Analyze performance trends and continuously improve content strategy.
- Prepare regular performance reports and actionable insights for management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Training in sales management or digital marketing is an added advantage.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in digital content creation, social media management, digital sales, or retail marketing.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and algorithms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn).
- Basic video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, InShot, VN, or similar.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and persuasion skills.
- Ability to simplify technical information for everyday customers.
- Knowledge of telecom products, mobile money services, or consumer devices is an added advantage.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in both English and Swahili.
