About the Role
Rescue For Hunger is seeking a Community Health Officer to supervise and support Community Health Workers (CHWs) in delivering effective health education, conducting site visits, and ensuring timely treatment of children for diseases such as pneumonia, diarrhea, and malnutrition.
The Community Health Officer will play a key role in community sensitization, identifying major health challenges, and facilitating interventions that improve health outcomes in target communities.

Key Responsibilities
The Community Health Officer will be responsible for:

- Developing monthly activity plans and coordinating with the team.

- Ensuring adequate stock of medicines and materials for CHWs and managing procurement requests.
- Coordinating training sessions and assessing training needs for CHWs.
- Assessing and managing sick children aged 2 months to 5 years for diarrhea, pneumonia, and severe acute malnutrition.
- Conducting weekly meetings with Community Health Committees.
- Ensuring integration of protection and gender considerations throughout project implementation.
Requirements
- University degree or higher in Community Health, Nursing, or related medical/public health field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in supervising community health projects.
- Proven experience in community mobilization, sensitization, and awareness-raising activities.
- Skills in training, capacity building, and team management.
- Experience in assessments and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
