Eligibility Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- Grade 12 (NQF level 4)
- Degree or National Diploma in Accounting or related field (NQF level 7/6)
- Minimum 360 credits completed

- Must be a City of Johannesburg resident
- No prior work experience required
- First-time internship applicants (unless previous internship was unrelated to course of study)
Role Responsibilities
The Asset Management intern will monitor and review accounting procedures across core departments, focusing on:
- Fixed asset capitalization, transfers, and disposal in the asset register
- Enforcement of asset management policy adherence
- Asset note preparation and verification
- Financial statement preparation related to fixed assets
- GRAP (Generally Recognized Accounting Practice) requirements implementation

- Monitoring accounting procedures for fixed asset transactions
- Implementing control procedures and asset management policies
