Job Title: Business Development Officers
Location: Dar-es Salam, Arusha , Mwanza. Moshi and Zanzibar
Job Purpose:
To join our expanding team, Selcom Paytech Limited is looking for a creative and results-driven Business Development Officer. The perfect applicant will be crucial to the expansion of the company, the development of solid client connections, and the discovery of new market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Find, contact, and hire high-transacting retailers with significant potential for card and mobile money transactions.
- Continue to follow up and interact with prospects until the sign-up process is closed successfully.
- To promote transaction growth and address issues, make sure merchants provide post-signup assistance.
- Establish and preserve brand awareness throughout the locations of recruited merchants.
- To guarantee loyalty, satisfaction, and higher transaction volumes, cultivate and maintain solid relationships with merchants.
- Work along with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations) to make sure business initiatives are carried out smoothly.
- Attend conferences, industry events, and client meetings on behalf of Selcom Paytech.
Key Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, business administration, or a similar discipline.
- Tech-savvy and digitally adept professional
- Two years or more of experience in sales, partnership management, or business development (ideally in the fintech, banking, or telecom industries).
- A track record of closing deals and building and sustaining solid client relationships.
- Outstanding negotiating, presentation, and communication abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a focus on outcomes.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
