Al Muntazir Special Needs Education Scholarship and Job Assurance 2026/2027

Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS), through the School of Clinical Medicine, has announced a scholarship opportunity for students enrolled in selected undergraduate programmes related to special needs education. The opportunity is offered in partnership with Al Muntazir Islamic International Special Needs Education under a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening training in specialized healthcare fields.

For the 2026/2027 academic year, four scholarships are available, with two scholarships allocated to the Bachelor of Science in Audiology, Speech and Language Pathology (BSc. ASLP) and two scholarships allocated to the Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (BSc. OT). In addition to financial support during their studies, successful scholarship recipients will have a job assurance arrangement with Al Muntazir Islamic International Special Needs Education after successfully completing their studies and meeting the scholarship conditions.

Programmes Covered by the Scholarship

The scholarship is available for students pursuing the following MUHAS undergraduate programmes:

• Bachelor of Science in Audiology, Speech and Language Pathology (BSc. ASLP) – 2 scholarships.
• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (BSc. OT) – 2 scholarships.

The programmes are offered through the School of Clinical Medicine, with BSc. ASLP associated with the Department of ENT and BSc. OT associated with the Department of Psychiatry.

Scholarship Benefits

The Al Muntazir Islamic International Special Needs Education Scholarship will cover the following expenses in accordance with the MUHAS Undergraduate Prospectus:

• Tuition fees.
• Books and stationery.
• National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) coverage.
• Meals and accommodation allowance.
• Research project costs.
• Special faculty requirements.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Be enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Audiology, Speech and Language Pathology or Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy programme at MUHAS.
• Possess an admission letter for the relevant MUHAS undergraduate programme.
• Have a genuine interest in special needs education and related areas of healthcare.
• Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

After successfully completing the relevant academic programme and meeting all scholarship conditions, Al Muntazir Islamic International Special Needs Education agrees to offer the student a position within the organization.

Where a suitable position is not required within Al Muntazir, the organization reserves the right to place the graduate with another organization, including Ibrahim Hajji Hospital, Jaffery Arusha or Jaffery Dodoma campus.

The specific position and terms of employment will be determined by Al Muntazir Islamic International Special Needs Education at the time of graduation, depending on organizational needs and the conditions applicable at that time.
