Key Responsibilities
The Finance Officer will be responsible for:
- Managing petty cash, processing payments, tracking balances, and maintaining accountability.
- Overseeing financial documentation related to inventory, stock counts, reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Supporting finance-related asset tracking in accordance with the Asset Management Policy.
- Ensuring financial records are complete, organized, and audit-ready.
- Collaborating with Operations, HR, and other departments to optimize financial processes.
- Staying informed about financial regulations and recommending improvements to local finance procedures.
- Performing other finance-related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience in finance or accounting.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with QuickBooks or similar systems is an advantage.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Full integrity, discretion, and trustworthiness in handling financial information.
- Experience working with NGOs or social enterprises preferred.
