Who Can Apply
Ideal candidates will have:
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (T) or ACCA Part I or II in progress, recognized by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors.
- 0–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
- Basic knowledge of accounting software such as Odoo or similar.
- Experience or exposure in a Microfinance Institution (MFI) or financial services environment is an added advantage.
Additionally, candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, organizational skills, teamwork, and good communication, with the ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Record daily financial transactions, update ledgers, and maintain organized financial records.
- Accounts Payable: Process supplier invoices, prepare payment vouchers, and maintain supplier transaction records.
- Accounts Receivable: Issue invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and maintain documentation for receivables.
- Bank & Cash Reconciliation: Assist in bank reconciliations, maintain petty cash records, and monitor daily cash balances.
- Financial Reporting Support: Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Tax & Statutory Compliance: Help prepare tax schedules (VAT, PAYE, withholding tax) and maintain statutory records.
- Audit Support: Organize financial files and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Administrative Duties: File financial documents and assist with finance-related administrative tasks as assigned.
