Wassha Inc. Tanzania Branch is seeking a qualified and results-oriented Hardware Engineer to support technical operations across assigned zones.

The role combines technical expertise, field support and team supervision to ensure high standards of hardware performance and customer service delivery.

Job Purpose

The Hardware Engineer is responsible for repairing, designing and testing hardware components of Wassha products.

The position involves analyzing test data, identifying and eliminating errors, modifying existing hardware devices and supporting lifecycle management of hardware components.

Main Responsibilities

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise Engineering Technicians and Operators within the assigned zone
  • Ensure team productivity and adherence to technical standards

Functional Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Engineering Technicians to deliver high-quality technical service
  • Plan, organize and monitor task execution accuracy within the zone
  • Support customers in software, IT, networking and database-related matters
  • Provide after-sales technical support and identify system inefficiencies
  • Conduct electrical safety checks and perform equipment repairs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software faults on-site
  • Manage hardware lifecycle issues including component obsolescence
  • Replace faulty parts and provide electronic engineering support
  • Prepare procedural documentation and technical reports
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair or configure systems
  • Escalate unresolved issues to third parties when necessary
  • Respond appropriately to emergency technical situations

Minimum Requirements

Academic & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hardware Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year proven experience as an Engineer
