Applications are invited from ambitious, energetic and performance-driven individuals to fill the position of Multiskilled Operator (Bull Dozer) in the Open Pit Mining Department.
Selected candidates will undergo practical training and competency assessment before being confirmed as qualified operators.
The role involves operating heavy mining equipment safely and efficiently to support production activities while adhering to strict safety standards.
Purpose of the Role
Candidates will participate in structured practical training and evaluation before appointment as operators.
The Multiskilled Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks (ADT) to support mining operations.
The role includes conducting equipment inspections, following production plans and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
Appointment is subject to successful completion of training, site testing and medical fitness clearance by an authorized medical practitioner.
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum Certificate of Secondary School Education (CSEE) – Advantage
- Valid Tanzania Driver’s License Class B & D or higher
Technical Requirements:
- Basic technical knowledge of excavator, wheel loader, grader, bulldozer and other heavy equipment
- Operator certificate from a recognized technical training institution
- Experience in mining or construction projects (2 to 3 years or more will be an advantage)
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must pass a site practical test before appointment as trainee
- Must pass medical examination conducted by an authorized medical practitioner
- Must possess NIDA ID or NIDA Number
- Must have a TIN Number from the Tanzania Revenue Authority
- Must submit an introduction letter from local government authority
- Must provide letters from two referees
Candidates must be physically and mentally fit to operate heavy mining machinery.
Key Accountabilities
- Follow instructions from qualified trainers and supervisors during training
- Operate bulldozers and other heavy equipment safely and professionally
- Conduct pre-start safety inspections before operating machinery
- Report equipment faults promptly to supervisors
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies
- Follow lawful production instructions at all times
- Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others
- Work proactively as a team member within the mining department
Safety compliance and operational discipline are mandatory.
