Position Overview: Garage Supervisor
The Garage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily garage operations, ensuring that all company vehicles are maintained, repaired, and serviced efficiently and safely. The role involves team leadership, quality control, inventory oversight, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
The successful candidate will manage mechanics and support staff while ensuring operational readiness of the company fleet.
Key Responsibilities
The Garage Supervisor will:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of automobile mechanics engaged in repairing, servicing, adjusting, and storing company vehicles
- Diagnose and analyze defective vehicles or equipment to determine root causes of mechanical issues
- Inspect and test-drive repaired vehicles to verify quality and safety of repairs
- Evaluate staff performance and provide technical guidance where necessary
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment
- Requisition replacement stock and coordinate with suppliers
- Prepare repair reports and vehicle service documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and internal operational procedures
Required Qualifications and Experience
