A leading company in the earthmoving equipment industry is seeking a driven, target-focused Sales Executive to join their Pinetown branch. This role is ideal for a strong technical sales professional who thrives in a high-performance, solution-based selling environment.
Main Purpose of the Role
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth within an allocated geographic area and/or key accounts. The role focuses on strategic sales planning, customer relationship management, and achieving monthly and annual sales targets.
This position requires business travel, including overnight stays when required.
Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
• Promote and market divisional products and services
• Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans
• Monitor market trends and sales performance
• Analyse industry data including CONMESA statistics
Customer Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Identify and develop new business opportunities
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Address customer concerns promptly
Sales Target Achievement
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
• Grow market share within allocated area
• Develop underperforming product categories
Administration & CRM
• Maintain accurate records on CRM and company systems
• Manage calling programs, quotations, and sales opportunities
• Ensure efficient sales administration
Solution-Based Selling
• Present value-driven solutions to customers
• Package equipment, finance options and maintenance contracts
• Sell based on value rather than price alone.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 3–5 years’ Technical Sales experience within the Earthmoving industry
- Strong understanding of earthmoving equipment
- Knowledge of equipment financing structures
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel
