Duties and Responsibilities: The Dental Surgeon Grade II will perform all hospital clinical duties related to oral and dental diseases. The role includes providing and supervising oral and dental health education, promoting and improving oral and dental health services within the workplace and the community, carrying out dental fillings and restorations, oral surgery, fabrication of dental prostheses, and orthodontic treatment. The officer will supervise subordinate staff, investigate, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks, teach students in health training institutions within the work area, design and conduct research and disseminate findings, develop strategies to improve the quality of services in the field, prepare plans and budget estimates for oral and dental health services, participate in reviewing and improving health services, provide outreach services within the respective district or region, maintain and utilize statistics in accordance with MTUHA guidelines, plan and evaluate oral and dental health services in the area of work, conduct research in various areas of oral and dental health, and perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor relevant to his or her education, experience, and skills.

Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from a government-recognized institution, have completed internship training, and be registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council.

Remuneration: Salary Scale TGHS E.
