Role Purpose
The Branch Manager will be accountable for running a smooth, operationally efficient branch by implementing sound banking practices and systems that align with regulatory requirements and the bank’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of branch operations to deliver business performance, ensuring effective planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling.
- Understand the customer base and identify opportunities to build and grow profitable relationships.
- Achieve business and sales targets by guiding branch staff, setting objectives, and translating them into expected results.
- Acquire new customers while retaining and growing relationships with existing clients.
- Ensure operational and cost efficiency of the branch and productivity of staff.
- Oversee integrated systems, maintain accurate transaction records, and ensure inter-bank transaction compliance.
- Prepare periodic and statutory reports for management and, when necessary, for the Board of Directors.
- Implement branch control procedures with focus on financial security.
- Manage daily branch operations including lending, product sales, customer service, security, and staff management.
- Resolve operational problems and coordinate with colleagues in other branches for seamless customer service.
- Develop new deposit and loan businesses to grow the branch’s portfolio.
