Job Description
Lindi Graphite Technology Limited is a rapidly growing mining company involved in the exploration and development of graphite resources in Tanzania. The Branch Manager role is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all branch operations in the Katavi Region. The successful candidate will manage operational performance, coordinate exploration and construction activities, oversee resource utilization, and ensure full compliance with mining, labor, environmental, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
The Branch Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating all branch activities to ensure efficient operations and achievement of organizational objectives. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and operational oversight skills.
- Oversee all branch operations and day-to-day activities to ensure smooth and efficient performance
- Manage branch budgets, resources, and overall operational performance
- Coordinate exploration, construction, and administrative functions across the branch
- Prepare and submit regular operational, financial, and performance reports to Head Office
- Liaise with government authorities, local communities, business partners, and other stakeholders
- Ensure proper management, utilization, and safeguarding of company assets, equipment, and resources
- Ensure compliance with Tanzanian mining, labor, and environmental laws and regulations
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the branch and ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements
- Lead, supervise, mentor, and evaluate branch personnel to achieve performance targets
- Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures
- Support strategic planning and implementation of branch development initiatives
- Ensure efficient coordination between different departments and project teams
Qualification
Candidates applying for this role should possess significant management experience and demonstrate strong leadership capabilities within mining, construction, or industrial operations. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in mining, construction, or industrial projects
- Fluency in both English and Swahili languages
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting systems
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of Tanzanian mining regulations and industry standards
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic and remote operational environments
- Strong organizational and strategic planning skills
