Solutions Architect: Data Center Solutions
Job Description
Vodacom Tanzania Plc is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect: Data Center Solutions to design and deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud and data centre infrastructure solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with customers and internal teams to transform business requirements into technical solutions across both cloud and on-premises environments. The role also supports presales activities, solution implementation, technical consulting, and service activation to ensure successful project delivery and outstanding customer experience.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for technology professionals with expertise in data centre infrastructure and cloud solutions to contribute to the growth of Vodacom’s enterprise services. The successful candidate will play a key role in solution design, customer onboarding, innovation, and ensuring services are delivered within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze customer business requirements to design appropriate cloud and data centre solutions.
- Develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions that meet customer needs.
- Ensure data centre environments are ready to host customer equipment and solutions.
- Lead the installation of customer equipment and implementation of technical solutions.
- Coordinate seamless customer onboarding and provide implementation support.
- Ensure User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is successfully completed before service activation.
- Deliver training on new solutions and features to both customer teams and Vodacom sales teams.
- Identify innovative hosting and cloud solutions to enhance service offerings.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop new colocation and cloud services that drive revenue growth and improve customer experience.
- Support presales engagements, technical consulting, implementation, and service activation activities.
- Ensure solutions are delivered within SLA timelines and are ready for billing and commercial launch.
Qualifications Required
- Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in strategic planning, project management, reporting, sales, or product development.
- Strong understanding of cloud and data centre infrastructure solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
