MOGO Tanzania is seeking a Business Analyst – Device Financing to support its newly launched smartphone financing business. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming operational, commercial, and portfolio data into actionable insights that drive growth, improve profitability, and strengthen decision-making across the organization. This position is ideal for a highly analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced and data-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize business dashboards and reporting tools
• Analyze dealer, sales, product, and regional performance data to identify trends and opportunities
• Support reporting activities across customer care, collections, and operations functions
• Monitor repayment behavior, portfolio quality, and risk indicators
• Develop forecasts, financial models, and business cases to support strategic decisions
• Generate actionable insights that support business growth and operational efficiency
• Identify performance gaps and recommend data-driven solutions
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of business data and reports
• Support management with analytical reports and performance reviews
• Contribute to the development of a strong data-driven decision-making culture within the organization

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a related field
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting techniques
• Experience working with SQL for data extraction and analysis
• Experience using Business Intelligence (BI) tools and dashboard platforms
• Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable business recommendations
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain insights to different audiences
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Experience in fintech, consumer finance, telecommunications, or digital products will be an added advantage
