To support the expansion of its corporate business segment, Airtel Tanzania is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager – Corporate to join its team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new corporate clients, managing strategic customer relationships, increasing revenue from existing accounts, driving customer retention, and delivering tailored business solutions that meet the evolving needs of corporate customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive acquisition of new corporate customers and business opportunities within the Tanzanian market
  • Increase corporate account revenue through effective account growth and new business development strategies
  • Achieve annual revenue growth targets across assigned corporate accounts
  • Retain existing corporate customers and maintain low customer churn levels
  • Identify and win business from competitors and new market entrants
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate clients
  • Create and implement effective sales and customer engagement plans
  • Analyze customer requirements and identify suitable products and solutions
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations to prospective and existing customers
  • Recommend and provide tailored telecommunications and digital solutions to clients
  • Prepare, submit, and follow up on tenders, proposals, and commercial agreements
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Airtel products, services, and enterprise solutions
  • Keep accurate sales records and prepare regular sales performance reports
  • Increase share of wallet by cross-selling and upselling products and services to existing customers
  • Introduce customers to new and enhanced solutions that support their business objectives
  • Conduct regular customer visits to understand business needs and maintain strong relationships
  • Work proactively with customers to minimize outstanding debts and improve collections
  • Identify opportunities for product innovation and service improvement
  • Recommend new products and solutions based on customer feedback and market trends
  • Collaborate with management and internal teams to identify growth opportunities
  • Maintain regular communication and engagement with assigned accounts
  • Strengthen long-term business relationships with key decision-makers
  • Support marketing initiatives, campaigns, and promotional activities targeting corporate customers
  • Develop, implement, and monitor account development plans for strategic customers
  • Represent Airtel professionally to enhance customer confidence and brand reputation
  • Ensure customer information is accurately maintained within Airtel’s customer management systems
  • Achieve agreed customer retention targets across the assigned portfolio
  • Work closely with internal departments to deliver effective solutions and excellent customer experiences
  • Serve as the primary contact point for sales-related matters within assigned accounts
  • Coordinate customer communication and support for service-related issues

Qualification Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field
  • Additional qualifications in Information Technology or telecommunications are an added advantage
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in corporate sales, key account management, or business development
  • Experience selling enterprise products, digital infrastructure solutions, or digital services
  • Industry experience within sectors such as banking, finance, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, or related industries is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of corporate sales processes and account management practices
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering value
  • Ability to work effectively in a performance-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to react quickly to changing business conditions and customer needs
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and results-oriented personality
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and customer relationship management systems
